As a photographer, nothing makes me happier than knowing my work, the beautiful images I created with my clients, are hanging on their walls.
After-all, sometimes life gets messy, those beautiful children can’t be tamed, your partner forgets to pick up their dirty socks…and having those tangible reminders of how precious your loved ones are, even when they’re driving you a little crazy, can bring a smile to your face even on the most trying days.
After a session, many people opt to purchase the digital files of their images, intending to send their favorite shots to labs like Walgreens, Target, or Costco. While this may seem like the most cost effective way to display your images, there are two BIG problems.
First, sometimes, even with the best intentions, those digital files wind up living on your hard drive, never seeing the light of day. All those moments, tucked away on your computer, do you a great disservice, as you’re not able to thoroughly enjoy the artwork you were the star of!
Secondly, and this is a big one, the quality of drugstore prints is no comparison to prints ordered from a professional lab. The colors won’t be true, your products will eventually begin to look faded, and they will just look, well, cost effective. Which is a shame, when you’ve already invested in the session!
Not sure what I mean? Check out these images, and look at the difference in the original file, the file printed at drugstore chains. Look at how much the colors differ!
Because I strive to provide my clients with the best products, so that their memories can live on through their prints (imagine your heirlooms being passed down to future generations!), I take the time to sit with each of my clients after their session to show them their images, and assist them in choosing which ones they’d like prints of. This is all a part of the experience, and is included with every single session.
My professional experience comes in handy, as I’m able to give guidance on what size canvas would look best in a space, or what sizes to order if you’d like to do a cluster of images on a wall.
I offer quality prints, from a professional lab, so you can rest assured that the quality will blow you away! Thank goodness too, because prints are the ONE format that has not changed throughout out the years. They are one thing that has stayed constant while the technology continues to change around us. Remember floppy discs?! (Now I’m really showing my age, oh my!) CDs and USBs will one day be out of date. But prints never will!
